Media participation at this event is subject to accreditation by the COSPAR Organizing Committee. Accreditation is strictly reserved for members of the press i.e. print media, photo, radio, TV, film and news agencies - who fully meet COSPAR media accreditation requirements.
Accreditation Requirements
All journalists applying for accreditation must submit proof that they represent a bona fide media organization*, as follows:
- A letter of assignment is required on official letterhead of a media organization signed by the Publisher/Assignment Editor or Bureau Chief addressed to COSPAR Assembly Secretariat Media Accreditation.
- It should specify the name and functional title of the journalist and the period for which accreditation is sought at the 37th Committee on Space Research (COSPAR) Scientific Assembly and 50th Anniversary.
Accreditation will be granted upon presentation of the following valid press credentials:
- Letter of assignment
- Completed COSPAR Media Registration Form
Badges
Only media badges issued by the COSPAR Assembly Secretariat are valid.
Badges are essential in order for media to gain access to the various meeting rooms and exhibition area. Media badges allow access to the entire assembly venue and all sessions that are open to registered Assembly delegates. Excluded are the city tours and social events.
Accreditation Process

Complete and fax the Media Registration Form and the letter of assignment to COSPAR Assembly Secretariat Media Accreditation at (613) 993-7250.

If your media accreditation is approved, you can obtain your media pass at the following location:
Media Accreditation Office, located in Room 525B of the Palais des congrès de Montréal during
the normal business hours of the Assembly beginning July 11 at 14:00
When picking up your media pass, you must present a valid picture ID and current proof of media affiliation.
*Note on bona fide media organization
The Assembly Media Accreditation Office must be satisfied that the individuals applying for accreditation are bona fide media professionals and are on assignment to COSPAR. Applications are considered on a case-by-case basis and the decisions of the Assembly Media Accreditation Office are final. The Assembly Media Accreditation Office reserves the right to deny or withdraw accreditation of journalists from media organizations whose activities run counter to the principles of the Assembly, or who abuse the privileges so extended or put the accreditation to improper use or act in a way not consistent with the principles of the sponsoring organizations
